![]() ![]() Non aviation Warrants especially are a sweet spot where they are SMEs, no one fucks with them, and they do the job they are supposed to. Me, personally, if I could do it again, I’d go WO. I’ve never been warrant, but I am a prior E who went O at over 10 years TIS, and I’ve worked with many WOs in my time. Do you want to be broad or specialized? You didn’t say your MOS, but I’m assuming based on the thread that it has a feeder into WO. It really depends on what you want to do. Its highly sought after and I've been exploring trying to VTIP into it myself. ![]() Officers that become 51As become project managers that serve in "acquiring" new equipment for the Army. This job is one of the most lucrative and easiest to translate over to the civilian side. In regards to 51C, it is the NCO slot for acquisitions. Something to remember though is you might have to put off graduation if you try to pursue ROTC as they require you have a certain amount of time left to contract. I commissioned close to the same TIS as you and near the end of the age window. OCS is an option though and I'd also recommend talking to their program managers to see if they will support you coming over. Id recommend considering ROTC (you can do ROTC while pursuing masters) as the recruiters for those programs seem to have more leeway with waivers. If you decided to become an officer in the Army with your background I am sure the recruiters can find a way. Use the report button.ĭS, one thing I have learned over the years is there a waiver for everything. Do not answer n00b questions on the main boards.
